  2. OH you wonderful GSNAngel you!!!!!!!!! Thank you, the art department and the powers that allowed it! I cannot find the words to express how I felt when I first saw it. I can say that I am glad I saw it here first where it had immediate impact. Thank you all so very much. Your tribute humbles me. Having spent the weekend camping in tents out in the middle of nowhere celebrating with fireworks and keeping our campfire going during a rainy day, your Victoria Day Oodlectible captures the spirit of the weekend. I bow to the artists. Thank you again, yes for the third time. I cannot thank you all enough! I’m pleased as punch!

Just went to buy my amazing Victoria Day Oodlectible when I noticed the Armed Forces Day Oodlectible and wanted to take the time to wish all members of the American and Canadian Armed Forces and their families a belated Happy Armed Forces Day. I did not realize we had a day set aside to recognize the sacrifices armed forces make to serve their perspective country. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Ideally, one would wish a world where armed forces of any kind are needless. Until then, men and women will come forward to do what they can and sacrifice what they must to bring that day a little closer and we thank you for it.
    May the sun be ever at your back as you venture forth.

GSNAngel, I hate to sound sour but I didn’t see any reference/celebrating in January for Martin Luther King’s birthday and then the month of February is Black History month and I saw absolutely NOTHING referencing/celebrating the month for BH. I am peeved πŸ™ and disappointed in GSN… πŸ™ Just like you are celebrating Victoria Day for the Canadians, you have African/Black American players too. IJS πŸ™‚

    • Hi Tonya, thank you for reaching out. I understand your disappointment, especially when we had such a nice Black History Month Oodlectible in 2016.

      I’d like to give some backstory on what happened. The person who normally requests Oodlectibles moved the beginning of the year, and that duty fell through the cracks for a few months. There were some (such as the letter and state ones), that were already in the request queue, but a number of special holiday or social ones we’d normally provide were missed. We realized that at the beginning of this month, and I offered to take over Oodlectible duties now.

      Going forward important occasions should not be missed. If they are, it’s on me (queue Queen’s song “Under Pressure” πŸ˜‰ ). I already have both of the ones you mentioned on my schedule for next year, so I hope you will enjoy the 2018 versions! πŸ™‚

      I understand your frustration and angst regarding the failure to recognize Martin Luther King and Black History Month, but I feel compelled to mention that oodlectibles reflecting Canada’s 150th Birthday this year was a request made by myself.
      Forgive my ignorance but are there any more holidays/special occasions that reflect the African/Black Americans? I am aware of Martin Luther King (“In a sense we’ve come to our nation’s Capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir…”) and Black History Month but would like to know if there are more.
