Break Out the Fireworks for July’s Most Valuable Oodler!

Congratulations to bestbuds2nu2, July’s MVO! She’s an avid Oodler who ‘s achieved an impressive milestone. Read on to find out what it is. She’s also shared some great tips as well as a little about herself.

Hi everyone!

My name is Roxanne and I am thrilled and honored to be July’s MVO.

I am a mother of 4 and a Grandmother of 1.
I have 2 cats, 3 dogs, 50 chickens and some tropical fish.
I love swimming, cooking, gardening, working with stained glass,
playing on GSN and of course my supportive husband.

A recent milestone for me on GSN was hitting my 1000
consecutive day of logging on in a row! How cool is that?

On GSN Oodles are my “thing”! I have taken many trips to
the prize center and have gotten many wonderful gifts such as
the metal print from Click Photos.com. It was a beautiful picture
of my son and his dog. Well worth the Oodles I had to spend.
I have also used my Oodles for several magazines. My family
loves the National Geographic magazine. And my Oodlectible collection
is growing. I also like to donate some of my Oodles for breast cancer.
If you haven’t yet, go and check out the prize center.

Oh Oodles how I love thee……One of the games I like to play to get these
Oodles is Mahjongg toy chest. I play it everyday. I do have a tip for everyone
to help you in your game. The faster you click matches the better. If you click on the penguins to the right of the screen that will freeze the timer. The timer will then not start up again until you have to hit a pair of guitars which will then start the timer back up.

I also play the Mega match and win for 70,000 Oodles and YES I have won before. Like it says….you can’t win if you don’t play.

Make sure to visit PLAYERS NEWS everyday. You can get up to date info, special codes and of course the secret word for the day. All of this adds up to more Oodles for you. Did you know if you submit a photo of you and your pet on PLAYERS CORNER
they give you Oodles! The pets are all adorable so go check it out.

So once again…THANK YOU GSN for the beautiful Golden Oodle. I will treasure it always! GSN friends..don’t hesitate to ask me a question on a game. I would be glad to help you if I can.

  1. HELLO ROXANNE AND CONGRATULATIONS FOR HAVING BEEN CHOSEN AS JULY’S MVO!! (I was also privileged, not to mention stunned, this past March 🙂 )
IT WAS NICE GETTING TO KNOW A LITTLE ABOUT YOU AND IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH YOU HAVE REALLY SETTLED IN HERE AT GSN! NO DOUBT ABOUT IT, GSN IS A GREAT PLACE TO PLAY, HAVE FUN, WIN PRIZES, GET EXCITED, RELAX, LEARN NEW THINGS FROM THE BONUS TRIVIA Q&A’S, MEET NEW FOLKS AND ALL IN ALL HAVE A SUPER PLACE YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO VISITING DAILY!! (As long as your computer doesn’t take a nose dive! lol ) AND A SECOND CONGRATS ON MEETING YOUR 1000 DAY LOG IN GOAL!! 🙂
NOW I ONLY HAVE ONE QUESTION. ROXANNE, WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING WITH ALL OF THOSE CHICKENS????LOL???? I WOULD BET YOU COULD GET ANOTHER 1,000 OODLES IF YOU SENT ANGEL A PICTURE OF YOUR CHICKEN PETS!! LOL
IN THE MEANTIME, ENJOY YOUR MONTH AS JULY’S MVO HOST AND HANG ONTO THAT HAPPY SPIRIT OF YOURS! 🙂
    WARMEST WISHES,
    PAM BARLETTA

    • Well HI to you too Pam! I see that congrats are in order for you also for March MVO! GSN is a great place indeed. My hubby and I had to laugh about your chicken comment. Well, we started out with just a handful and well…..our flock GREW. We have 5 babies as we speak. Funny that you suggested us taking a pic and putting it in the PLAYER’S PET section. If you look back in the archives you will see my son and our chicken P. Daddy. I believe he was the very first pet picked. lol Our youngest will be going to college this fall for pre-veterinary medicine classes. So he has gotten some experience already and it will be nice to have a doc in the family to treat them all. 🙂 Thank you so much on the congrats and we really enjoyed reading your response. Thank you Pam and have a very wonderful day. 🙂

      • WELL BLUSH ME RED!!
HI AGAIN ROXANNE, JUST FOUND YOUR DARLING SON, DAVID WITH WHAT APPEARS TO BE A “FRIENDLY”? ROOSTER ON HIS SHOULDER!!! WHAT A GREAT PHOTO THAT IS!! 🙂 NOW I’M AN OLD LADY WITH 14 GRAND CHILDREN AND THE THIRD GREAT GRAND CHILD ON ROUTE 🙂 SO I’VE BEEN AROUND THE BLOCK A FEW TIMES AND I’M HERE TO TELL YOU THAT I HAVE NEVER SEEN A “ROOSTER” I WOULD BE PRONE TO CALL FRIENDLY UNTIL I SAW THIS ONE ON YOUR SONS SHOULDER! 🙂 NOW IT ALSO BECOMES QUITE CLEAR WHY (with such a “friendly” guy around”) YOU HAVE SO MANY CHICKENS! LOL. NOW I’M INCLINED (hope you don’t mind) TO ASK WHO CAME UP WITH NAMING THAT BIRD “DADDY P ROOSTER”??? THERE MUST BE A STORY THERE TOO! 🙂 SPEAKING OF NAMES; MY FATHER WAS IN THE MILITARY AND EVERYWHERE WE WERE STATIONED MY FATHER GOT A NEW DOG THAT HE NAMED “SAM” AND MOTHER MADE SURE SHE HAD A CAT WHICH SHE ALWAYS CALLED “KITTY.” NOT VERY IMAGINATIVE I’M AFRAID, BUT UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES AND ALL OF THE TRAVELING WE DID (I went to 21 different schools from k through 12 during my growing up years!) THEY NEVER HAD TO WORRY ABOUT FORGETTING ANY OF OUR PET’S NAMES! LOL THEY DID A GOOD JOB WITH MY BABY BROTHER THOUGH AND NAMED HIM “DAVID”! 🙂 (just like your handsome young son 🙂 ) WELL, I’VE CHATTERED ON LONG ENOUGH; BUT DID WANT TO THANK YOU FOR THE “TIPS” IN YOUR MESSAGE WHICH I FORGOT TO DO IN MY LAST REPLY (afraid I have a memory like a dead elephant! 🙁 ). IT WAS ALSO NICE TO HEAR YOU MENTION YOUR “SUPPORTIVE HUSBAND”! ALL TO OFTEN PEOPLE TAKE THEIR SPOUSES FOR GRANTED AND DON’T EVEN BOTHER TO MENTION THEM. IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH YOU HAVE A LOVELY CLOSE KNIT FAMILY; GOD BLESS YOU; AND THANKS SO MUCH FOR PUTTING UP WITH MY SHENANIGANS! TRULY, I APPRECIATE YOUR BEAUTIFUL SMILE!!!
HUGS TO YOU ALL (old people get to do that you know. 🙂 )
        PAM

        • I have really enjoyed you Pam! You sound like my kind of lady! 🙂 Now where should I start…..P Daddy the rooster was named after the rapper P Diddy only we changed it a little. We rescued P Daddy. Poor thing had been through a tornado and needed a home. We picked him up, put him in a dog crate, put him in the car and on the way home we stopped at a chicken place to eat and went through the drive through to order. P Daddy had been very quiet the whole time until we went to pay and he started cock a doodle-ing very loudly. The whole store stopped and started laughing. He kept it up until we were on our way again. lol True story! I have to say that all of our roosters are nice. Well to humans anyway. We call our son the chicken whisperer. 🙂 I loved the names your Mom and Dad called your pets and I bet it was easy to remember. Wow, you have lot’s of love from all of the Grands and Greats!!!!! I can’t wait to have more. Love your baby brothers name too! One of my dearest friends name is Pam…go figure. I too was an officers wife for 17 years so my kids grew up like you. I might just have to name my new baby chickens…Kitty and Sam. Who knows maybe even a Pam. 🙂 You are very welcome on the game tip. My hubby smiled when you mentioned him…his name is David also. lol Of course I bet you figured that out? lol He also loves the Golden Oodle and dances around the house singing..”I have a golden oodle!” hahahahaha I keep reminding him it is mine but I am willing to share with him. Want to stay with your spouse…share the Golden Oodle! Thank you on the smile comment! Hugs back to you Pam and God bless you too. 🙂

          • DEAREST ROXANNE, (and David’s 🙂 )
APOLOGIES FOR BEING SO TARDY IN GETTING BACK TO YOU, BUT I’VE ONLY FINALLY STOPPED LAUGHING AT YOUR TERRIFIC STORIES AND THEN AS A RETIRED WRITER/POET, BEGAN ENVISIONING ALL SORTS OF IDEAS. FOR EXAMPLE, A SHORT STORY ENTITLED “THE RESCUE OF ROOSTER BIRD BRAIN” (Now don’t you know how smart that Rooster of yours was as he began cock-a-doodle-doing once he realized you were buying “chicken” to eat at that drive through? lol 🙂 ) Then I rolled around a story in my head about “THE CHICKEN WHISPER BECOMES A VET”! 🙂 And the story about your hubby dancing around the house with your oodle had me laughing so hard my own beloved thought something was wrong with me!! I even wrote a silly poem about:
” DAVID NOODLE THE OODLE THIEF”
David Noodle stole his wife’s Oodle
so excited was he that she won it.
Her golden crown made him act like a clown
            as he danced through the house ‘a singing;
’tis Mine, ’tis Mine he sang in loud jest,
’til his wife finally stopped him
            and put him to rest,
            “Now see here you Noodle,
give back my gold Oodle” said she
with a smile on her face.
            Then both knew forever
            the meaning of treasure
was always to share it together!! >3
            ***********
NOW I ADMIT THAT IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE WORST POEMS I’VE EVER WRITTEN, BUT AS I SAID, THIS OLD GAL IS REALLY R E T I R E D!!! SHOULD YOU EVER WANT A SAMPLE OF “GOOD” POETRY LET ME KNOW. ANY WAY, I HAVE SO VERY MUCH ENJOYED YOUR COMPANY, YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR GREAT STORIES! AND, I HAVE NO DOUBT YOU HAVE MANY MORE. UNHAPPILY, WE CAN’T CONTINUE TO CHAT HERE, BUT SHOULD YOU BE SO INCLINED, YOU CAN REACH ME ON FACE BOOK. OH, AND DO TELL DAVID SR. THAT I THINK HE IS TERRIFIC; FOR IN TRUTH, “LAUGHTER IS, INDEED, THE BEST MEDICINE!” 🙂 IN THE MEANTIME, ENJOY BEING THE MVO QUEEN FOR A MONTH (Oh, BTW, weren’t you surprised at how large and hefty that oodle was? I was expecting colored cardboard, lol, or something to that effect.) TAKE GOOD CARE MY NEW FRIEND AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
            HUGS,
            PAM

  2. Congrats from a fellow MVO (December `14)! 😎 Enjoy your month in the spotlight! 🙂
    Happy oodling! 😎

    • Well thank you so very much wakedaddy820! Congrats to you too!!! It is fun to be an MVO! I certainly will enjoy every min. of it.

      Happy oodling back-at-ya! 🙂

  3. Congrats on making MVO! Thank you for the tip on Mahjongg Toy Chest. I’ll have to try that. We have goats and a goldfish my daughter won at the local carnival. She loves animals, and we hope when we have our home, that we can have extra land for more animals to enjoy (maybe not as many chickens as you have, but that’s our next animal). 🙂 Have a wonderful July!

    • Thank you so much Monica! You are very welcome on the tip in Mahjongg Toy Chest. We are planning on getting a goat some day. Tell your daughter that I too won my first goldfish at a carnival. 🙂 If you need any help with the chickens when you get them …just holler. You have a wonderful July too! 🙂

  4. Congrats on a very nice win Roxanne, I love playing here as well I haven’t won anything yet, but I haven’t given up either I keep plugging away.. The new MVO Player wear your badge proudly, and Congrats again have a Blessed Day 🙂

    • Thank you so much for the warm wishes Christine! You are right….NEVER give up! 🙂 I will certainly wear my badge proudly…that is if I can get it away from my husband. lol Have a wonderful day Christine and thank you.

  5. Congratulations bestbuds2nu2 / Roxanne on your lovely MVO for July
Golden Oodle Award…. from a fellow MVOer. Enjoy it does go by fast.
Thanks for the fun stories I’m sure there are many, many more.
Also for the tip on Mahjongg Toy Chest I’ve played the bells up and down and never made a connection. Trying it out past couple of days.
Now if you got any tips on that Horse Race game I’m all ears.
I ve tried the suggestion to hold down the Keys but am all thumbs I guess.
Anyways again Congrats enjoy, enjoy, enjoy……………..

    • Hi Mindytbl! Thank you fellow MVOer! Oh the horse race game…….lol I just do the best I can. Sometimes I win, sometimes I don’t. Sometimes if you put your horse behind another horse for a second (it has to be right behind) it will slow the game a tad. That is the only tip I have. In Mahjongg Toy Chest…have you tried the penguin’s that form a line on the right side of the screen? Just get a few matches going and then click on them. Don’t click the guitars until you have no other matches. Good luck! You have a blessed day too. 🙂

      • I have tried the penguin’s that form a line on the right side of the screen, But I never made the connection that it freezes the timer ! Soooo now I have been trying the time out feature !
I use to run the browser over the penguin’s on the right side and hear the bells as I was contemplating “my next move”.
All games have there tricks and it’s always fun to discover a new feature of the same old game.
Thanks Again… Game on and enjoy……………..

  6. Congrats Roxanne! Yes, the Golden Oodle is very cool, and you look lovely holding it too.
My thanks to you and all who donate to Breast Cancer Research here.
Come say hello on FellowOodlersChat where we have a great oodle-lovin’ group.♥ Enjoy your month!

    • Hello Vee! Wow, thank you for the nice complement!
Breast cancer is dear to my heart as my sister passed away from
inflammatory breast cancer several years ago. I too want to thank everyone who donates to find a cure. 🙂 Thank you for the invite too to the FellowOodlersChat! GSN really is a great place to play and meet new friends. Thank you again Vee. 🙂

  7. Give me a call, your number is busy and I know thats impossible, unless you have kids and dad on phone. So call when possible.

    • Hi Candy, I’m sorry you’re having difficulties. Please contact Player Services for assistance so they can investigate any issues. To contact them click on GSN Help at the top of the main http://www.gsn.com page, then look for the green “contact support” button at the top of the help page. I’d recommend logging into your player name before contacting them so there is a record from your account you can access later if need be.

      • I was trying to give Roxanne our daily call but her phone was ringing busy at home. ( Which never happens ) So I was telling her to call me when she read it. Everything all ok with July MVO. (She did not get lost in the chickens, lol ) Sorry for the confusion.

    • Hi Pegmaster1! Thank you so much for your kind words. I hope you get one too! You have a wonderful day. 🙂

  8. Congratulations on your MVO award. I hadn’t realized there was such a thing as an MVO. I do know how disappointed I was recently when our server went down and Day 1 showed up on the bonus tokens screen. Thank you for the tips, and may you have many more years of “Oodletunities”!

  9. Thank you Lynn! Servers going down are horrible! When mine goes down I just use my smart phone. (another tip)
The wonderful folks at GSN give an MVO award every month…so now you know. 🙂
I hope you have a wonderful day and no more server problems.

  10. Roxanne, you have such a full life I don’t know if it was as much of a thrill to be named MVO for you as it was for me (just me & the cat, but I like it that way!) – lol. I still have my shiny gold Oodle on display & it gives me a smile each time I see it. I also donate with some of my Oodles & appreciate the tip on Mah Jongg Toy Chest. Happy Oodling!

  11. Hi Sherrie! My Golden Oodle was a thrill of a lifetime for me so I guess we have that in common. 🙂 When I first found out that I had been chosen MVO I was screaming so loud my family thought something was wrong. Hahahaha You are very welcome on the tip. I hope that it brings more oodles your way. Say hello to your cat and thank you for the kind words.

  12. congrats! I had 465 days but the flood in texas caused me to miss a day

‘boo whoo! so i know how extremly hard it was (Bravo!) live long and prosper.

    • Thank you Blewlu! I am so sorry you missed that day because of the flood. The thing that saved me was my IPhone. Our power went out several times and we had a tornado but I managed to get on and at least pick up my day. I feel for you. Thank you so much for the congrats and I hope you get your 1000 day. 😉

  13. Congratulations on being an MVO. And thanks for the tip on Mahjongg Toy Chest. I’ve never come close to getting any oodles for being on that particular leaderboard. Maybe that pause thing is the key.

    Enjoy your golden oodle.

P.S. Where can you see the number of consecutive days you’ve logged in?

    • Hi Randy! Thank you for the kind words about my MVO award. You are very welcome for the tip in Mahjongg Toy Chest. Just a little practice and you will be on your way to the leaderboard.

My consecutive days come up automatically when you first log in everyday. It will tell you how many days logged in and it will drop tokens into your account. Not sure how many days you have to log in to start getting them. Maybe GSNAngel can help us with that one. It is also found at the end of the GSN tool bar….tabs from left to right. You will see blue tabs like Home, cash games, all games, MYGSN and so on. At the end of the tabs a coin will appear. If you click on the coin it will tell you.

Thank you again and have a wonderful day. 🙂

  14. Well today is the last day as MVO for July. I just wanted to thank GSN Angel and the Oodle team. Everyone has been so nice and I have really enjoyed talking to my fellow GSN players. Have a VERY wonderful OODLE kind of day~Roxanne 🙂

  15. Hi again bestbuds2nu2 / Roxanne, Just wanted to once again say Thanks for the Mahjongg Toy Chest tip! Though I’ve been able to win Oodles and get on the Leaderboard with the new freeze the timer info I actually after many attempts was able to clear the whole game.
Long time since I’ve done that!
With the new posting format for GSN I know Players pages go by fast get regulated to way Older post –
Today being July 31 wanted to say Thank You- I know the month goes by fast…………..

    • Hi Mindytbl,

You are VERY welcome! I am so happy that you cleared the board in Toy Chest! 🙂
You are right, the time does go by very fast. You have a wonderful day and thank you so much for your kind words.
