ZoSo1968 – This is Archimedes back in 2005 (When this picture was taken). My wife and I were moving from Alaska to Kentucky. We had taken down our bed, and as you can see Archimedes laid on it like a kid on a rollercoaster! He is still a fun part of our lives, even all these years later.

mariettamom – My cat Bighead only has 3 legs, we had to have one amputated after he was shot with an arrow!  He is spoiled rotten now, he never goes out, but getting older and his back leg will soon stop working…..I don’t know what I would do without him!

Goldenlover – Titan and Rhett on their 6th birthday. We got Titan as a puppy while Rhett, his litter mate, went to a home where he became a show dog. Days before he became a completed champion his owner passed away. They put out the word that Rhett was needing rescuing as no one wanted to keep him. So, we made the two hour drive to get him knowing there must be something physically wrong with him as normally champions are sought after. Rhett did have many, many allergies and a very bad back. But, one look and we were in love with him. He is so goofy and happy and very glad to be out of the show dog world. We have never been sorry. These two brothers were reunited at 3 years of age and have been inseparable ever since. They have very different personalities and at the same time very similar. I say Titan is Jed Clampett and Rhett is Jethro. Titan and Rhett have brought nothing but love, silliness and happiness to our lives and helped us get through the good and bad times life throws at us.

  1. Archimedes does look ready for mischief!
Bighead looks like he rules the roost/ ah household. He gets the favorite chair, ha,ha
Now Titan and Rhett, they look like a whole nother story! Jed and Jethro huh? funny!

  2. I think that dogs as well as cats that come from the same litter are happier and live longer. I adopted sister and brother (runt) our of the same litter of cats. We knew when we got them that they would be bigger cats, as there was a Maine coon cat in the family history. I decided on the girl as her eyes had circles like an owl. She was miss prim and proper and a very dainty step she always took. She looked so dainty that I named her Miss Muffin. The brother as the litter runt was half of her size. When we took them home they were only 4 weeks old and the people were moving. Well we finally got them hone they had been sleeping in only one hand. We realized that the boy was trying to prove he was just on of the guys. Miss Muffin would go walking around the house but brother had a hard time of keeping up with her. He would take a few steps and had to sit down to get his breath. His little sides were going in and out as he got this breath. So I named his Sir Puffin. Muffin and Puffin had a spoiled life, and got along really well. Puffin finally got larger that his father 20 pounds and Muffin was about half that weight. We loved them dearly and still miss them. We still find a toy of theirs hidden who knows where. They lived until Muffin had a heart attack and Puffin died of a broken heart. They were indoor cats and always into mischief. They died five days apart at the age of 19 3/4 years as their birthday was Halloween.
