Even though it’s April 1st, there’s no joke here. We’d like to congratulate quinnc123 on being April’s Most Valuable Oodler. He is an avid GSN and game show fan, who has declared 2015 “The Year of the Oodles.” Read more to find out why!
I have been a fan of GSN TV since I was 7 years old. My favorite shows were Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Card Sharks, all versions of Password, and Match Game. Now, I also like Press Your Luck.
My enthusiasm for game shows grew when I learned about the commodore 64 in 2005 and the game show games you can play on the computer platform. It took me awhile to figure out how to use it, but now that I got the emulation process down, I play them all the time. My favorite C64 games are Card Sharks, Super Password, and Press Your Luck. I’ve even read a book by Robinson Mason called “A Commodore 64 Walkabout.”
I became an even bigger fan of GSN in 2009 when the Oodle program launched. Since then I have won over 2,266,363 Oodles and redeemed almost 2,000,000 of them. I think that the Oodle auctions are a great idea, I say better than Ebay. The most Oodles I have ever spent at the Prize Center was for a Wheel of Fortune Xbox game for 200,000 Oodles. Other prizes I have won over the years are:
3 Chick-fil-A gift cards
3 Starbucks gift cards
3 iTunesgift cards
6 DVD games
1 Fandango gift card
1 Gamestop gift card
Electronic talking jump rope from the Retail Closeout Mall
JEOPARDY! Xbox 360 Video Game
I also won a $100 gift card last year by entering the Halloween costume contest dressed as Hopper the Vampire from Swipe Hype. I think Hopper and Hoppett are the most adorable things to have happen to GSN.com! I also won 1,000 Oodles when my new dog Toby was featured on Players’ Pets.
The first time I made it on an Oodle leaderboard was May 2010. I placed 58 on a Chick-fil-A leaderboard and won 18 Oodles. In November 2013 winter I set a personal record on the Games by GSN app on Facebook scoring 33,000,000 Tokens on Video Bingo and 26,000,000 Tokens playing Wheel of Fortune Slots. I also really enjoy Ghostbusters Slots on the GSN Mobile app.
Bingo is definitely my favorite type of game on GSN.com. Wheel of Fortune Bingo is great because I feel like I am an actual contestant on the show. Mondo Bingo Is like playing an arcade video game. I Like Bingo Bash because it doesn’t require any tokens, it has it’s own playable currency. On top of all that, Video Bingo Deluxe is the casino game I feel really good about.
This year I started to enjoy going to movie theatres with films like Big Hero 6 and Annie, enjoy the Just Dance video game franchises, making spaghetti, Learning Japanese, the Famicom, and enjoying Anime. But I still most definitely enjoy Oodling. With that in mind, I declare 2015 “The Year of Oodles.” By February my Oodle balance reached the 340,000 mark which was the highest my Oodle count has been, and if I work really hard and not fool around, I could make it to 1,000,000 Oodles by the end of the year. I will do so by improving my skills on every Oodleboard game and reading audiobooks more often.
If I have any tips to give out, it would be to save the letters R,S,T,L, and L until you have landed on a $900 wedge or higher on Wheel of Fortune, create as many 7 letter words as you can on Suds, use face cards on lines with that includes a wild on 25 Stud, and remove the moneybag as soon as possible on Big Money. Use a 5 letter word with mostly vowels at the start of every round on Lingo, and when playing “Alu’s Revenge be sure to not click away all of the patterns until there is at least 10 seconds left in a round or when the blocks are about to hit the top of the game screen. As for the Wonder Wheel, I can easily get more Oodles playing it with a mouse. GSN.com is the easiest way for everyone to become winners and I am happy to have done it for the last 6 years.
