Video Bingo Update

vbThank you all for your patience. The team has been working overnight to resolve the recent issues with Video Bingo Deluxe. 

What happened

Yesterday, August 28th, a new theme was inadvertently released for Video Bingo Deluxe entitled “Daub ‘Round the World” on GSN.com. Once this theme was released, the previous “Summer Sizzler” themed game became unavailable.

Once the issue was identified, the “Summer Sizzler” themed game was reintroduced back on the site at around 9:45pm (ET). For those who never played “Daub ‘Round the World,” your progress within the “Summer Sizzler” mini-game is saved as normal. Unfortunately, for those who did play “Daub ‘Round the World,” your progress within the “Summer Sizzler” theme was reset.

For those negatively impacted:

We are very sorry for these recent issues, and the team is reviewing all that happened to ensure that this incident was a one-time occurrence. Also, for those whose progress was reset, we will be crediting 50,000 tokens and 5,000 Oodles within the next 12 hours.

    I did play the new bingo just to see what was going on and lost my progress on the Sizzler game but yall made it right.

    • I also played around the world & was disappointed what happened but I do THANK YOU FOR EXPLAINING WHAT HAPPENED & ALSO WOULD LIKE YOUR OFFER, I really do like your site & as you know I have played a long time, but I wish I could use tokens to buy things they offer as you are playing these games like the different cards, balloons & etc. I have been having trouble with my computer & when I have to quit, It does not make me happy & I do know that is not your fault. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN

    • I played Fourth of July for days. Got to the million dollar mark. It said I won the 1,000,000 but it never registered and never got added to my total. Had I have known that, I wouldn’t have wasted my time and the bad part is that the only way to play Video Bingo is to play the same game again!!

  2. Angel, I was 8 Bingos away from completing the Summer Sizzler challenge and I NEVER played the Daub around the world game, yet my game was reset to zero as well ! Am I now supposed to do the entire challenge again to get my tokens ??? 50,000 is NOT a reasonable amount to make up for the lost million + the 80,000 that would have been awarded for getting 10,000 on each bingo leading to the end of the game. Should I go in and play for 8 more bingos to earn the 80,000 and trust that GSN will do the right thing and credit the million tokens I have earned according to the initial guidelines?

      • I had won 14 bingos already and I don’t r temember how many we needed for the million. I do know it was almost impossible to get that far. I also think that getting any regular bingos is next to impossible in this game and forget about double bingos. The daub around the world bingo was better. I can’t wait for this game to end since they made us start over. No one will ever each the million. I had gotten the million on the 4th of July bingo by mid month. Good luck everyone1

    • I agree. I, too, was only 8 bingos away from the 1M prize. I only hope that those bingos can be restored before the game ends.

        • I also agree to the fact that the 50000 tokens is not a fair amount especially since I was also 12 bingo’s from the 1000000. And what about the money I spent for the extra balls and water balloons that I spent. I take it its my loss for your error, not fair. Not going to play this game any more. thank you

          • I also agree that 50000 tokens is not enough. GSN needs to bite the bullet and credit the million tokens to all that could not complete it. Even that does not fully compensate the loss, as we got 10000 tokens for each bingo. By the way, when does the new bingo start?

  4. On a positive note some of us got a sneak preview to what is coming up. On the bad side, I am sorry to those who lost out on getting the jackpot. My question is for those who did play Daub Round the World yesterday is that progress saved for when it is released again or does it start all over?

Angel, i’m a little confused(nothing new, lol)…are the people who never received the million tokens in Summer Sizzler the only ones getting the 50,000 tokens and 5000 oodles or is everyone getting that who was playing summer sizzler (even the ones who got their million), then played daub around the world and had summer sizzler reset? Can you please clarify?

  6. Hi Angel. I have a question also. I did start the newer “Daub ‘Round the World” game and managed to get a good distance into it, about a 1/4 of the way, hitting 4 or 5 of the base stops along the way. What happens to us who played it? Do we lose the progress we made and have to start completely over? I finished the summer game awhile back.

  9. I was wondering what was going on yesterday. At one point I was playing “Summer Sizzler” and then when i logged back on, I was playing “Daub” ‘Round The World.’ Then today it was back to “Summer Sizzler>” Now I lost everything and am starting over Oh well, things happen that are uncontrollable I can’t wait till they release the new game as that was cool. I like the sound it makes when you daub a number. Thank you Angel for explaining this. I know now I wasn’t losing my mind..lol.

  10. Definitely not good news on this one….I was down to my last few games to get the million and yesterday was my day of completion…and poof next thing I know there was a new game…. I played that a number of times….but my heart was really counting on the 1 million tokens being offered that I was going to receive…. 50k or 1M – I’ll waste them just the same – so I don’t think it would hurt as a good sport gesture to just give everyone the million – cause it doesn’t cost you anything to do that – and if more people are using them on your website – that’s an added bonus for you…. Just saying….after all the nightmares I have been through on this website over the years…

    • I would suggest that everyone contact GSN support and let them know that what they are offering is not enough. They have failed to consider that many people buy tokens and thus are taking a big financial hit as well.

  11. I was enjoying “Video Bingo Summer Sizzler” and making progress toward my million token prize yesterday until I could no longer get it back. However, after trying several methods, I did play the travel game. Today as I tried to go back to my summer sizzler … I had to start over. I do enjoy my video bingo but, have lost so much playing time. “PLEASE HELP!!!” I will go back and hopefully it will be resolved soon. Thank you for listening.

  13. After playing over 1190 games on Summer Sizzler and earning 49 Blanket games, 50,000 tokens is not an award because of a game error. I have always loved the Deluxe Bingo. Betty

  14. I had 44 bingo’s in the bank and would rather have them back it;s not a fair trade off 50000 tokens and 5000 oodles for the million tokens I would have received with 6 more bingo’s. Like you have responded to me check your token history and you would see how many games were played and have a have a clue to how far players would have advanced in the promotion. The right thing in my opinion you should award whoever was affected with the 1 million tokens.A lot of time was put in this promotion by many players to go back to square one. Funny thing at the beginning of round the world stated it would end aug.30th suggesting to me this was a promotion for the holiday and summer sizzler would resume after the 30th.

  17. I don’t remember how many bingos i had, but it hardly seems fair to those who were close to 50 to only receive 50,000 tokens when they might have had 1 million playing only one more game. If there is no way to determine how close to the top each player was, it only seems fair that 1 million should be awarded to everyone.

    • I agree with the other posters – I had 35 bingos – it hardly seems fair that we only receive 50,000 tokens to make up for something that GSN caused….just sayin’

      • I agree with the both of you! IT really stinks. Obviously, it seems like the only players/people that are upset by this put in a lot of time and tokens to be so close then poof it’s gone. They should credit everyone that’s lost a lot of time & tokens for the Million or way more then 50,000 tokens. I’m offended. Also then loosing money on playing the new bingo game around the world I know I was already at the 3rd place. I hope that my credit still will be on there. 🙁 I’ve read that a few players whom made it to the million, Are asking if they also get the 50,000 tokens & 5,000 oodles. I didn’t see an answer to that. I hope that they wouldn’t receive it. 🙁 HELP

  18. That is NOT good news for me!!!! I am so very disappointed!!! I did play the new video bingo not realizing until after I had played!!! 1 million? vs 50,000? Not the same AT ALL!!! What about the same bingo cards you are using over and over? I am really upset with this mess!!!

  20. Thank you for updating Angel. Your update states if we did not play the “Around the World” our progress should be reset on Summer Sizzler. I did not play the new bingo game but my mini-game progress has not reset. I have played the Summer Sizzler tho. Is reset within the 12 hours? Was sooooo close! I agree that the 50,000 isn’t the same as what we would have received and personally would like to receive more tokens, but it is better than receiving nothing. GSN has always been pretty fair to the players and it is appreciated!

  24. I was more than half way done when I started the new bingo and then it switched back to the old and I lost my progress. I still haven’t received my tokens or oodles when should I get them?

  25. I’m not sure how many bingos I had but I know I was close. I still haven’t received my tokens or oodles yet when should I be credited? I started playing the new bingo without even realizing it wasn’t summer sizzler and lost all my progress doesn’t seem fair.

Personally, I don’t care about the reset, wasn’t anywhere close to the million and not likely to get there, but did enjoy the “sneak preview”!   30. GSNAngel, I’m already contacting Player Services for the lost progress on the Summer Sizzler theme. I didn’t get my 50,000 tokens and 5,000 oodles in both accounts. I’m sorry chat friends and others that are trying to get the million token prize. Any bingos that were supposed to stop at the save point are lost. We have to live with this in the whole world today. I’m not happy and what I’ve read I’m trying to leave this negative past behind.

  32. i have contacted player services and they don’t seem to be able to help me. i thought after reading player news that maybe they fixed the problem. i was wrong. several weeks ago while i was playing video deluxe bingo it just stopped loading. wheel of fortune slots, american buffalo slots, blazing cherries all stopped loading. i asked them to reboot the game for me. their reply was they knew there was a bug when you hit the play again button. they suggested that i hit the menu button instead. that might be a helpful suggestion if i could get the games to load. i know nobody there care if i lose out on tokens or oodles, but i do. can some one help me with this problem?

    • Hi Jennifer, I’m sorry you’ve not heard back yet. Part of the issue is Player Services isn’t able to respond sometimes until the game or site engineers give them information they needed. If they got hundreds of emails regarding it, that’s going to make it a long process to get back to everyone, and now we’re in a 3 day weekend so you’ll probably hear next week.   35. i was a new player but loved the summer sizzler soooo much i was in just 2 WEEKS very close to the 1,000,000 tokens. I was very discouraged and to BOOT I have not received my 50,000 token compensation and wonder why?

  36. Bingo Bash isn’t right either. I know GSN said they have no control over the game, but they do over buying the chips. The home page offers 2.5X chips, but when you go to the game to buy them, that’s not offered. And it says “All Payments will not be working for technical reasons. Please try after some time”. Has said it all night and day. What does that mean? I like Bingo Bash, and tech support told me it was safe to use my credit card to purchase chips, but with so many problems, how can I be confident.

    I also played the new Daub around the world Video Bingo Deluxe game. I reviewed my oodles and tokens balances and I did not receive the 50K tokens and 5K oodles as your statement stated. I also had quite few bingos in the Summer Sizzler. I also was dropped to zero which is not fair for those of us that have almost reached the 1M tokens level. Please let me know what I should do to get my oodles and tokens as stated. Thank you. I really appreciate all that you do for us.

  38. My goodness,.. I am glad this is going to be resolved somehow and that i was not just crazy as I was actively playing,(constantly playing at that!) at the time it refreshed and was a different type of game and my just about topped off 1,000,000 meter was gone! I have yet to be credited with any tokens or oodles and don’t feel that that is really doing enough,… as I had just spent hours on getting to the point I was at, and moments away from the goal! I did not actively “play” the new bingo, as soon as i realized it I left while in game and sought the “summer sizzler” version I had been playing, only to find that any and every link to video bingo was only the new bingo game. I can admit I was baffled and steaming mad at the very least. ~ good to see it is being dealt with but surely was after that 1 million prize and was just moments from obtaining it.

  39. I was going to complain but after listening to everybody else, guess I was lucky, I did get the million tokens, but it took a very long time. Many times, I never got a regular bingo or any of the suns. 4 per game certainly is not enough. I personally think this was the hardest and least fun of all the games. When you only get 32 balls, and some times you only 24 daubs, not much fun. Wish we had like 40 balls per game. But thanks for the million tokens.

  43. Although I wasn’t reset of my 110 minigame bingos and didn’t have the chance at a sneak preview of the next VBD, I really don’t think this settlement is fair. Just a thought, but how about giving the players that didn’t complete the 50 bingos the % completed out of the million? 40 bingos, 80%, 800000 tokens. No Ooodles… 3 bingos completed, 6%, 60000 tokens, no oodles and so on. That would be fair for everyone. If you completed it, why would someone who didn’t put the time in get 5000 Ooodles plus the 50000 tokens? You have so many tracking cookies on GSN, I’m sure one of them tracks the minigame bingos and records it somewhere.

    BTW, after you reach the 100 bingos, it just keeps on going. No other million, other than the million,10000 tokens at a time for each bingo, which after 100 bingos brings you to 2 million tokens + regular winnings. 🙂

  44. Personally I was thrilled as I had already hit the million and was getting 10,000 for every one after that. I figure I made about 3 million tokens after I hit the million the second time yesterday. However, I would agree that if someone was very close to the one million that 50,000 does not seem fair to them.

  45. I rec’d the inconvenience rewards and felt like Sisyphus rolling a boulder uphill only for it to roll back down and start all over again. It took FOREVER to be within a few bingos of the 1,000,000 tokens and now have to start all over again? Also felt like a liar when I said I was near the top of the tree trunk. In business, when it is your fault, you eat it. Still fries my bacon. Have to learn to keep track of all winnings and where one is on these games so that when it happens again, maybe you’ll be believed. Glad I didn’t buy catapults or seagulls. Oh well, life goes on. This too shall pass. But I don’t trust GSN as much anymore.

  46. Wow I wish you guys could finally fix the problem as to why my tokens keep disappearing. Last night I logged off for 20 minutes and when I logged back on 2 million tokens just disappeared. That’s 60 million tokens I had stolen from GSN thus far. Yet I have yet to have it credited back and still this glitch has not been fixed.

  47. I too played Video Bingo DeluxeSummer Sizzler and spent a lot of money on tokens thinking when I reach the top that I would get 1 million tokens I did
    finally reached the top no such thing happened of receiving 1 million tokens
    the game was very deceiving and I kept on playing even though Idid not get 1 million tokens the the game happened to get switched to Video Bingo Deluxe
    Daub around the world while I was playing the Summer Sizzler game. I don,t
    think 50,000 tokens is much either.

  48. I had 20 bingo’s when the game changed by your mistake and I would have easily hit the threshold needed for the 1 mil. tokens, got my 50k and the oodles as a sorry we f’ed up consolation. Continued playing as much as humanly possible and had amassed 44 new bingo cards as of last night(sept.1) woke this morning to finish off and get my 1 million token prize only to find that the bingo board and contest were no longer there. 20 plus 44 is more than enough to qualify for the 1 mill. would have been there if it was not for your error. I strongly feel that gsn should compensate me /us for your error. Be an upstanding game center owner and make this problem right, you already admit it was your fault for the original error and that caused me to not be able to meet the deadline for the game ending which should have been extended to compensate for the lost time and bingo’s. ..Thank you

    • I had 27 bingos I went to play again and the game is gone. I too had 1 more section to go for the million I was devastated to see all the playing I did to get to that point to get the million. I think gsn should give the people that were just about there a million tokens. plus I know I put up with it not dotting our numbers when we clicked on them, the site always starting over when I had bingos on my cards. but I stuck in there cause I wanted the million. something on that site was causing my internet explorer to shut down. gsn should give us the million or let us finish the game!

  50. GSNAngel, player services still have not respond to my inquiry yet. I disagree with the 50,000 token compensation!!! Why don’t you give everyone the million token prize even if they didn’t reach it? This is angering everyone because this is one traumatic waste of our time achieving bingos towards the goal. I don’t want to drip a tear towards my pure sadness. Every post I read they are pissed off over the summer sizzler theme resetting the bingo progress there. All my chat friends have one unchanged frown on their faces. I already survey the damage on sizzling suns counted towards my goal. I’m pissed off and that’s life I must live upon on this dangerous game here.

  52. I agree with all of you. I was very, very angry. I was at 49 bingos on the thermometer, which was 1 or 2 bingos away from the million. 50,000 tokens is like a slap in the face. I want my million tokens or a reset button to where we all were before GSN made a huge mistake. This game took up a lot of time and late hours.

    • Hi eraleigh, I imagine it’s taking Player Services time to get back to everyone as we’ve just come off a long weekend. It may take another day or two is my guess, depending on the volume of email received. If you’ve not heard anything in a couple days, I’d reach out again.

  54. Poor Angel…you are on the “front line” and getting the brunt of the player frustration! Thanks for being here to listen to us!!

    Most of us that are frustrated and irritated is because we were all so dang close to reaching the 1,000,000 goal! Of all the video bingo special games you’ve had, the Summer Sizzler was the worst! It took what seemed like forever to move up the thermometer, for me, the game kept crashing either at the end or middle of the game and no bingos or suns were awarded plus a loss of the tokens we played! Never had the bingo game crash as much as it did with Summer Sizzler! I agree that for that many tokens the game should be challenging; but this was beyond a challenge.

    Personally, my mini game was not reset to where I was prior to the glitch (less than 10 to go) even though I did not play the Around the World, nor did I receive any tokens or oodles for it resetting to the beginning. I then played 2 full days to start over (dreaming of bingo now..lol) and was only 9 away from the goal when it was no longer available (mind you a game that we originally had a month to complete)! They could have even given us an extra week to complete after to issues! Yes ma’am, I did contact player services and waiting for their response. Player services has always been quick to respond however, I am sure they are swamped today with all the contacts!

    I am in 100% agreement that those of us that were so close to completing our challenge should receive our 1,000,000 tokens in good faith. The “powers that be” that make that decision should realize that all the token awarded will be played back into the games on the gsn site so it would be a win-win for everyone involved!

    Again, we appreciate you being here to listen to us…whether for good or bad! Hope you had a great Labor Day holiday!

  55. Hi Angel! I am curious as to why the summer sizzler bingo is still showing on the casino page. I started playing it again today because i was getting close to getting another 10,000 tokens for the numbers (suns) i had on the beach blanket, only to realize after i started playing, it was the regular video bingo deluxe. I know it was suppose to end yesterday , but since i saw it on the casino page, i thought the game had been extended because of the recent issues. Anyway, i guess it’s no big deal that i didn’t get another 10,000 tokens, but why didn’t the new version (daub around the world) show up?

    ps. I was teasing yesterday when i sent the message about guessing the secret word, but for some reason it never posted. I hope it wasn’t deleted because i offended you in some way. If i did, i apologize.

    • Hi, the secret word went up a little late, but it made no sense to “approve” those posts today so I just deleted them.

      The summer sizzler expired on Sept 1, so the regular version will be up until they put the other new one in play.

  56. I see this AM, we have a new Video Game Deluxe. What happened to the
    Sizzler game I was playing last night? I guess it got reset Also? Who determines, who will get compensation for data that was reset? Will a list be posted when this is all cleared up? For the record, I also had data that showed
    I was close to the end, and it was all reset. I went from the Sizzler Bingo, to Daub
    Round the world, back to Sizzler (reset Values) to Video Deluxe.

  57. Yeah, I would have played this game had I known I could get 5000 oodles out of it. And probably most people playing for the million tokens like the tokens more than oodles. So they’re getting shorted on their tokens, getting oodles they probably don’t want, and the rest of us miss out on inexplicable free oodles. Pretty unfair all around. 🙁

    • Hi scissorshand, the game was set to expire on September 1st, which is what was originally posted. The mini-game is supposed to be no longer available, but a fun new incarnation will be coming soon!

  60. Well the recommendation to reachout to player service’s, (I’m Sorry to say), is a “BIG ZERO”, just like the supposed crediting of oodles & tokens to our accounts within 12 hours…. I am a VIP player & according to the website program, am suppose to have support team response’s farely quick. Between that not happening and a 12 hours crediting issue that has long since passed, wonder if anyone can tell time there??? Or perhaps just sleeping on the job???

    • Hi joyce.myp33, Summer Sizzler actually expired Sept 1, so it’s reverted back to the original Video Bingo game until the new one comes online.

  62. I think there is a problem with your web site. Always have problems with the games and video’s. I have 15 tickets with GSN support team. There answer is do this and that. Still does not help. Do I have to go out and buy a new computer. Some of the video’s that I have played for oodles have malware on them. I do know about computers and bad web sites. This web site has changed since I been on it for a year. Everyone should receive something for using this web site too play games and not have problems at the same time playing the games. I hope the company can fix this problem.

    • I agree with you Sharon. There response is generally to blame the player and tell us it is all our fault. Yet when I tell them I did everything they say in their response, they become silent.

  63. Hi yes the new min game has not loaded up for me..just wondering why?? It has changed on the g.s.n app on Facebook. it went from summer sizz to around the world. And it works just fine.. But here on the GSN web site it still has not up dated.. please help thank you

    • Hi Anthony, the platform on .com is different from Facebook’s, so it has to go through rounds of testing by the game engineers before it can go live here. They’ll get it up soon!

Just want to say Thank you Angel for listening to all of us complain You would think the way people are acting we lost a million dollars Come on people it is only a game not much lost when it is all free Yes I am disappointed that it happened but I can deal with whatever they decide GSN has been very good at helping in times like this and most of the time do the right thing for us Love GSN I have a lot of fun playing games on here

    think its too early, and their hands are tied in knots, until, they decide a plan
    of action. I can’t imagine anyone who played that game wouldn’t be negatively
    impacted if there was no compensation. Since the tokens given would be played
    on GSN games, What does GSN have to lose, if all are compensated?

  66. What a rip-off. I can see from many other comments that there were a lot of people who were close to earning the 1,000,000 token bonus when GSN accidentally reset the game. I understand accidents occur, however, it’s easy enough to check the token records for any of us who complained and verify that we achieved the number of Summer Sizzler bingos required for the 1,000,000 bonus. After the game was reset, I went in and played it long enough to acquire 51 summer sizzler … told them I had done that … and all I got was a 100,000 bonus. Totally ridiculous, given the time and number of tokens I spent to complete the game. This situation was definitely mishandled.

  67. Having fun with these games. I reaches the million token mark twice on sizzler. Would be nice if I could win some prizes but over all no real complaints, especially when the games are free

  68. I don’t understand what is going on. I have played Video Bingo and lost everything. I didn’t get 50,000 tokens. You have made the game so much fun, now reg. Bingo is kinda boring now. Hope you get it fixed and give everyone what is due, I played the map one and was on the third city, and that is gone. Was 20 Bingo”s away from getting the 1 mil, token and that is gone. ???

  69. I am going to stop playing Bingo with you because I have lost a lot of points because the game goes blank and I again just lost another 50,000 points, I have lost many 50,000 points because the game stops and it will not come back.
