Meet the Winner of the $11,568 GSN ChaChingo Bingo Jackpot

Like many of you, we had been watching the GSN ChaChingo Bingo jackpot climb to record highs and wondered, “Who will win?” We got our answer on Saturday, August 10, 2013. Congratulations to Mr03SS, who won $11,568!

Mr03SS, whose first name is Rod, was gracious enough to share his thoughts on winning and snippets of his life with us. We love getting to know our players, and really appreciate it when winners take the time to do this.

Rod’s words brought a huge smile to all of our faces. Here’s what he had to say:

I was so happy and surprised when I found out that I had won the Bingo Jackpot of $11,568.00. It took my breath away!  I’ve been playing day and night hoping I might be the winner. I had been out shopping that morning. When I came home my wife said “you won the jackpot!” I said, “you’re kidding me,” dropped the groceries and went to my computer. There it was – Mr03SS is a winner!

I am 67 years old and still love playing games. Still a kid, I guess! My favorite game on GSN is Outlaw Video Poker. My favorite show to watch is Family Feud with Steve Harvey. He’s the man!

My advice is never give up on winning, you have the same chance as anyone else.

Great advice Rod!

Below are photographs Rod sent us. In the first picture he’s holding a balloon. It’s for his grandson Grant who passed away at the age of 15. He had MD, and Rod’s family releases balloons in his memory every year on Grant’s birthday.

Besides loving GSN games, Rod is also a car enthusiast who has shown for 17 years in car and truck competition. Among some of his noteworthy achievements:

Rod’s cars and trucks have been featured in magazines 55 times
He has won 157 trophies
Won Truck of the Year in 2005
Won Street Rod of the Year in 2004
Won Pennzoil Car Person of the Year Award in 2005 and was awarded 18 Cases of Oil

Rod also co-wrote a book entitled “The Mother of all Car Books” which got great reviews by Jay Leno and Alan Jackson. With his many trophies, we can see how he’s an expert!

  2. Rod & I have been friends since grade school up through High School. Back then He knew every baseball players stats. He’s a smart guy. We lost touch after high school, but have re-connected through facebook, just before our 50 year class reunion of 1963. I’m still in California, but Rod followed His job to Tennessee before retiring. As You can tell by all the trophies and Awards, when Rod decides to do something, it’s top notch all the way. Congratulations My Friend. Larry

  3. I’m sorry Rod, I meant to offer my condolences for the loss of Your Grandson. I’m sure You both were very close, as I see Him beside Your truck. I have 6 Grandchildren and know that losing one of them would be like ripping my heart out. I really like the releasing of balloons yearly. I believe He’s looking down at all of Your Family and being very happy that You honor him like that. Talk to You soon Good Friend. Larry

  4. Rod is my husband, he’s the most caring person you’d ever meet. He is still on cloud 9 about winning and we both are playing day and night if one of us are up during the night. I love to play the games also. I like Video Bingo, Video Poker and my favorite game show is Family Feud with Steve Harvey and yes he’s the man.

Losing our Grandson was a big blow to the entire Family but I feel he knows we think of him daily and there’s not a day that goes by that his name is not brought up when we are talking, “He was my Boy, I Loved him with all my Heart and Soul he was a find little guy that got robbed of his life way too early. Congratulations to my wonderful Loving Husband (Rod) for winning the “Bingo Jackpot”.
Rod is a winner, once he puts his mind up to something he never gives up!
I know if Grant was still with us he’d say “Grandpa lets go and buy a Streetrod or a Old Truck. He loved riding in both of the Streetrod and Truck and the loud noise it made when you took off. he also loved going to the car races, we used to go pretty often on Saturday nights.

He was a little man that loved life, yes it was the hardest thing going to a child’s funeral especially when it’s one of your own, I hope and pray we never lose another one it rips your heart out and your never the same.
    Love and Hug

  11. I’m sorry for Rod’s loss. I Have to wonder, though, is Rod a Paying (Cash) Player? Do you have to be a cash player to win? Coz’ I’ve been trying Forever & No Such Luck and I can’t afford to be a Cash Player. I would just like to know if it matters? My Mom is almost 81 and 1 month ago; fell in the bathroom and broke her right hip (the only good leg she had left, without metal all through it). Anyway, we could sure use the money; as I have lived with her since 2007; due to her health…and the bills are Piling Up! Thanks for reading…God Bless Anyone Who Wins! I was Just curiousn;-)

    • Hi Carol, I’m sorry about your mother. I don’t know if Mr03SS is a cash player or not, and it doesn’t matter when it comes to winning in GSN ChaChingo Bingo. Any GSN player has the same chance of winning.

    • Winning for ChaChingo is an equal opportunity event !
NO cash involved just luck of the draw – I mean the numbers you pick !
…….. who knows why life deals us the hand it does ?
      I play – I dream,
      tomorrows another day ….
good luck as always to all…………………………….

  12. Congrats to TENNESSEE, USA !!!!! I’m in Clarksville and am especially happy for you being in TN. Hope you are a TITAN fan as I am a football nut. Enjoy knowing that there are others out there with the same interests that you and might not be able to get out to see your cars !!! Thank you

  13. Congrats Rod

I couldn’t be happier for you on your big win. Well actually could be a tad bit happier if it were me, LOL. Y’all have some outrageous rides and luck too.

I’m so very sorry for the loss of your beloved Grandson Grant. My prayers go out to Grant and your Family. I hope it brings you some solace, knowing he’s at Peace in Our Lord, God’s Heavenly Kingdom.

    Take Good Care

  14. Congratulations to you, Rod. It is always hard to lose someone, especially someone so young, who had his whole life ahead of him. My mom died fairly young a long while ago, but I can only hope that she will take Grant under her wings in heaven and take good care of him. She was the best mom in the world. Thanks for sharing your story. And may God bless your family.
